The level of Agricultural Extension Agents Application of Some Communication Skills in the Environmental field in Sohag Governorate

Abstract

This research mainly aimed to identify the level of agricultural
extension agents application of some communication skills in the
environmental field in Sohag Governorate, through the following subobjectives,
which are: 1-select an application level speaking skill in
the environmental field.2-select an application level Listening skill in
the environmental field, 3- Correlational relationship between the
level of agricultural extension agents’ application of the skills of
listening and speaking in the environmental field and some studied
independent variables, namely age, educational qualification, number
of years of service in the agricultural sector, number of years of
service in the field of agricultural extension, and number of years of
service in The field of environment, cultural openness, sources of
information, and job satisfaction. The most important findings of the
research were: (i) more than third of agricultural extension agents in
the environmental field (41.58%) had a level of application of
speaking skill ranging from low to medium; (ii) half of the
respondents (50%) of their application of listening skill ranges
between low and medium; (iii) there is a significant correlation direct
at the level (0.05) between the level of agricultural extension agents
in the environmental field application of speaking skill and job
satisfaction; (iv) there is no correlation between each of the variables
of age, number of years of service in agricultural extension, the total
degree of civilized openness and the level of agricultural extension
agents in the environmental field application of speaking skill; (v)
there is a direct, significant, correlation at the level of significance
(0.05) between the level of agricultural extension agents in the
environmental field application of listening skill and the total degree
of civilized openness; and (vi) there is no correlation between each of
the variables of age, number of years of service in agricultural
extension, and job satisfaction and the level of agricultural extension
agents in the environmental field application of listening skill.
